In Balance Massage Therapy Center is a heart-centered, therapeutic, bodyworking center providing many modalities to increase the health and well-being of all who receive treatment.

Massage Therapy:

Our massage is tailored to what you as an individual need. We have attended many trainings over the years and combine these different trainings/modalities to find the right combination for you.

Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (click for more info)

This modality is focusing on the fascia in your body. Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds your brain and spinal cord (craniosacral), every muscle and every organ in your body. It is one continuous sheet in your body front to back, top to bottom, left to right, diagonally, etc. There can be pulls/strains in your fascia from your birth process, falls as a child and an adult, car accident, dental procedures, and more.

During a craniosacral fascial session we follow where the fascia in your body wants to go, not forcing it in any direction. In doing so this decreases the fascia strains giving freedom and movement to your muscles, organs, brain and spinal cord.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage that is catered to the needs and changes of the mom and growing baby. Using a body cushion upon the top of a massage therapy table a pregnant mother is fully supported in every position and every phase of her pregnancy allowing her to receive a full body massage. Craniosacral fascial sessions can be included in the pregnancy massage or done alone for the pregnant mother. There is tremendous value in decreasing the fascial pulls from the pregnancy and before. It allows the pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum time to be easier.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

This is a very gentle modality assessing the superficial and deep lymph flow in your body. With mapping techniques we determine where in your body the lymph needs assistance and very gently assist the lymph flow helping to recirculate body fluids, stimulate the function of the immune system, and promote a state of relaxation and balance within the autonomic nervous system.

Chair Massage

This is a fully clothed massage performed in a chair specifically made to support you and allow you to relax in a short period of time. Chair massage usually focuses on your back, neck, shoulder, arms and hands. Massage can be performed on your legs and feet too. This style of massage is typically seen on site at businesses, malls, sporting events, and fundraisers. The typical length of time is 15 minutes but this can either be increased or decreased.

Reflexology

This is a gentle and effective form of massage that incorporates reflex points to stimulate the whole body. These precise points are used while still addressing the body as a whole. The practitioner may choose to use a foot soak with aromatherapy oils to help relax and stimulate lymphatic system in order to receive the treatment more effectively. In the end it is ultimately the recipients party that decides where the healing needs to take place.

Couples Massage

Our massage therapist can be available to provide massage therapy to couples either in our large treatment room or in two smaller treatment rooms. For those people looking for a special afternoon for a bridal party, families, out of town guests, girl time, etc. we have the space and therapists to arrange a special time for all.

Hot Stone Massage

In this comforting and healing massage, stones of varying weights and sizes are place on the body in areas that tend to hold tension. Oiled stones are then used in flowing strokes to relax the entire body. The penetrating heat of the stones begins to elicit deep relaxation immediatedly, soothing the nervous system while melting away the effects of stress. Muscle tension eases under the smooth pressure of the stones allowing circulation to increase. Hot stone massage can be especially helpful for people with fibromyalgia, arthritis and anyone recovering from injuries.
